I got an email from a client asking why some hard drives or SD Cards don’t show up in the side bar.
Yes I could have explained it, but a movie makes more sense…
I just upgraded my iMac to 32GB of memory, yes Thirty Two GB!
Why? well first thing, why not but on a serious note, it runs much faster and gives me room to run as many apps as I want without it going into a spasm every time I want to do something.
As most of my clients know, I also do other things on my Mac other than just ‘work’ I also use it for my music productions, coding, building websites and even video editing, so the RAM (geheugen in Dutch) comes in really handy, and it’s VERY cheap these days, so there is no reason why you wouldn’t.
Kia helped us over the phone with a problem that had rendered one Mac useless. He solved it in two minutes and didn’t charge even though I offered him to pay. Quite a difference with Apple dealers, they would have taken the thing, used the keyboard combinations to solve the problem, let us wait for a couple of weeks and then charged us a hefty amount or advised us to scrap it and buy a new Mac.
Nice there are professionals like Kia of MacJunky.
Kia has done a great job on my Mac several times. Also I really appreciate his relating the problem to me in a language a 5 year old child would understand.
Kia/MacJunky assisted me immensely when all systems stopped functioning on my computer, he rapidly retrieved the data I assumed lost forever. His assessment, analysis, service and advice were fast, curtious and supremely professional. He will remain the Mac expert I turn to for all future quirks and queries in Amsterdam!
In recent days I seem to be getting more and more data recovery projects. This on it’s own wouldn’t be a problem, but with some data loss comes regret, regret that the data wasn’t backed up. more…
Most of us treat their Mac as a close personal friend. And sometimes better. MacJunky combines true love for Macs, honest interest in his clients and up to date knowledge. A winning combination when it comes to taking care of something that is dear to you.
MacJunky is reliable, fast and a very friendly service, exactly what you need in those rare and nasty occasions your Mac lets you down. Super!
I have seen many Macs with liquid damage, whether it’s Coke, wine, or even a glass of water, and on most occasions I have been able to fix them. But I do feel sorry for some people who have only had their Macs for a few months or even weeks.
